About the Role
As a Travel Nurse RN specializing in Labor and Delivery, you'll join the care team at a facility in Shelton, Morehouse Parish, supporting expectant families through one of life's most pivotal moments. This is a full-time travel position scheduled to begin on July 20, 2026, running for 13 weeks at 36 hours per week. Shifts are 12 hours and may be assigned on either days or nights, giving you flexibility while you deliver hands-on bedside care in a fast-paced L&D environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients throughout admission, delivery, and recovery.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, responding promptly to changing clinical conditions.
- Assist physicians and the obstetric team during vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
- Educate and reassure patients and families across the birthing experience.
- Document accurately and collaborate with the multidisciplinary unit to keep mothers and newborns safe.
Qualifications
- Active RN license with proven Labor and Delivery experience.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Current AHA ACLS certification.
- Current AHA NRP certification.
- AWHONN certification.
- Willingness to commit to a 13-week, 36-hour-per-week travel assignment with rotating 12-hour day and night shifts.
