Catholic Diocese of Peoria is hiring a full-time Junior High Paraprofessional to support student learning and success at Corpus Christi Catholic School in Bloomington. Help us create an environment where middle school students thrive academically and spiritually.
About the Role
As a Junior High Paraprofessional, you'll work alongside teachers and school staff to support classroom instruction, assist students with academic challenges, and help maintain a positive, faith-centered learning environment. This full-time position starts August 1, 2026, for the 2026-2027 school year.
What You'll Do
- Provide one-on-one and small-group instructional support to junior high students, particularly those needing additional academic assistance
- Assist with classroom management and help create an orderly, respectful learning environment
- Support special education instruction and implement strategies to help students with diverse learning needs succeed
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers on student performance and behavior
- Help prepare instructional materials, organize classroom resources, and manage administrative tasks
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment that reflects the values of Catholic education
- Communicate respectfully with students, families, and colleagues to support the school community
What We're Looking For
- Genuine commitment to Catholic education and the mission of Corpus Christi Catholic School
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or education-related certification is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Patience, enthusiasm, and genuine care for middle school students
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families
- Reliable, professional demeanor and willingness to support school community values
- Physical ability to move around the classroom and assist students as needed
