About This Position
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is actively recruiting for full-time experienced Border Patrol Agents in Acacia Lake, Texas. As a seasoned law enforcement officer, your prior experience may qualify you for higher-grade positions within the GL-9 or GS-11 levels. This role offers new hire sign-on and retention incentives to attract dedicated professionals.
What You'll Do
- Enforce federal laws at the border by patrolling designated areas on foot, horseback, boat, or vehicle.
- Interdict illegal entrants, smugglers, narcotics, weapons, and other contraband.
- Conduct searches of persons, vehicles, aircraft, vessels, baggage, cargo, and merchandise.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a full-time law enforcement officer or in a similar position involving the detection, prevention, investigation, or prosecution of violations of federal, state, or local laws.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Maintain physical fitness standards and pass medical examinations.
