Bartender, Alteno PT

What This Role Involves

As a Bartender at Alteno, you'll be the face of our bar program—mixing, muddling, and presenting craft cocktails and classic beverages with precision and flair. You'll manage the bar during your shifts with efficiency and sophistication, creating an inviting atmosphere that encourages guests to linger, connect, and return. This is a customer-facing position where your personality, knowledge, and attention to detail directly shape the guest experience at one of Austin's premier hospitality destinations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and house standards
• Engage guests warmly, take orders, and make personalized drink recommendations
• Maintain a clean, organized bar and work station throughout your shift
• Monitor inventory, stock supplies, and communicate with management about reorder needs
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately, following payment procedures and security protocols
• Collaborate with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service
• Follow health, safety, and alcohol service regulations at all times
• Contribute to a positive team environment and hotel service culture

What We're Looking For

• Proven bartending experience in an upscale or hotel setting (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and beer
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently during peak service times
• Physical stamina to stand and move throughout your shift
• Reliable attendance and a professional demeanor
• Food Handler or ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Current alcohol server certification or TIPS training (or ability to complete before start)
