Barback/Runner, Alteno

Join Shhotelsandresorts as a Barback/Runner at Alteno, our signature bar at 1 Hotel Austin. We're seeking a dedicated, fast-paced team member to support our bartenders and servers while delivering the exceptional service our guests expect.

Position Summary

As a Barback/Runner at Alteno, you'll be the backbone of our bar and service operations. You'll maintain supplies, prepare ingredients, support bartenders, and deliver drinks and food to guests with speed and professionalism. This full-time position is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-energy environment and takes pride in supporting a world-class hospitality team.

Your Responsibilities

• Stock and organize bar supplies, glassware, ice, and mixers to keep stations fully equipped
• Prepare fresh juices, garnishes, and cocktail ingredients ahead of service
• Support bartenders by fetching supplies and maintaining clean, organized bar stations
• Run completed drinks and food orders to guests with accuracy and attention to detail
• Clear and reset tables, glassware, and service areas to maintain an immaculate environment
• Assist with inventory counts and restocking throughout shifts
• Support the broader front-of-house team during peak service periods

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience as a barback, server, or in a fast-paced hospitality environment (preferred)
• Strong work ethic and ability to multitask in high-volume service
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Flexibility with scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Genuine passion for hospitality and guest service
