About This Position
JOIN is seeking a Backend Engineer to contribute to our platform that assists thousands of businesses in finding the right candidates more efficiently. You will join an established engineering team in Berlin, Germany, focusing on improving architecture, raising quality standards, and delivering robust features.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and DevOps/platform teams using Agile SDLC/Kanban workflow to build meaningful features. <li-Conduct peer code reviews and participate in retrospectives for continuous improvement. <li-Define technical requirements and identify optimal solutions to meet team goals. <li-Passionately contribute to engineering retrospectives focused on testing, architecture, automation, and coding standards.
Qualifications
We seek a candidate with 5+ years of backend development experience, particularly in strongly typed languages. Additional requirements include:
- Experience with backend technologies and frameworks.
- A strong understanding of database management systems. <li-Proficiency in version control systems like Git. <li-Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality.
