Dollar General is hiring an Assistant Store Manager at our Syracuse, Onondaga County location. This full-time position offers the opportunity to help lead daily operations, develop your management skills, and directly impact our store's success and team culture.

About the Role

As an Assistant Store Manager, you'll support the Store Manager in delivering exceptional customer service while keeping operations running smoothly. You'll gain hands-on experience in retail management, from inventory oversight to team leadership, in a fast-paced retail environment.

What You'll Do

• Assist with opening and closing store procedures, ensuring all security protocols and cash handling standards are met
• Supervise and schedule store associates, fostering a positive team environment and addressing performance concerns
• Monitor inventory levels, process shipments, and maintain accurate stock records using our systems
• Help drive sales by maintaining store appearance, organizing merchandise displays, and supporting promotional initiatives
• Provide attentive customer service and resolve customer concerns with professionalism
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local regulations
• Assist with cash management and loss prevention procedures
• Support the Store Manager in achieving store goals and budgets
