Chinatown Community Development Center is hiring a full-time Associate Director of Compliance in San Francisco, California to safeguard the regulatory standing of its affordable housing portfolio and protect vital program revenue.
About the Role
As the Associate Director of Compliance, you will lead regulatory adherence across every property owned or managed by Chinatown Community Development Center in San Francisco. Serving as the primary liaison with oversight agencies, you will keep funding contracts current and ensure each community remains in good standing with the rules that govern affordable housing.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee regulatory and compliance obligations for all owned and managed properties across the organization's portfolio.
- Drive timely contract renewals with funding and regulatory partners such as HUD and the San Francisco Housing Authority (SFHA) to protect and maximize program revenue.
- Act as the main point of contact with regulatory bodies and SFHA, fielding inquiries and coordinating responses.
- Manage CTCAC and other recertification and reporting requirements to keep properties fully compliant.
- Monitor changing program rules and translate them into clear practices for property teams.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with affordable housing compliance and regulatory programs, including HUD, SFHA, and CTCAC requirements.
- Strong working knowledge of contract administration and agency reporting standards.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail when managing deadlines and renewals.
- Confident communicator able to represent the organization with external agencies and internal teams.
- Ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them consistently across a property portfolio.
