About the Role
As Assistant Professor of Agroforestry, you will hold a 12-month, non-tenure track, benefit-eligible faculty position structured as a 75% research and 25% extension/outreach appointment. The role centers on developing and leading agroforestry research programs while translating findings into practical guidance for landowners, producers, and partner organizations across Missouri.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and conduct original research in agroforestry systems, including silvopasture, alley cropping, and forest farming practices.
- Build an active, externally engaged research program that contributes to the field of sustainable agriculture.
- Deliver extension and outreach programming that shares research-based knowledge with communities, growers, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with colleagues, partners, and producers to apply agroforestry techniques in real-world settings.
