About the Role
The Assistant Director of Financial Aid oversees the daily operations of our financial aid department and partners with the Financial Aid Director to serve students seeking federal, state, and institutional funding. You'll manage staff, coordinate aid processing and disbursement, and provide direct counseling to students navigating their financial aid journey. This role bridges our financial aid team, the Bursar's Office, and students—ensuring accuracy, compliance, and positive student outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Counsel students on financial aid options including federal loans, grants, and work-study employment
- Supervise financial aid department staff and coordinate daily office operations
- Process financial aid applications and authorize disbursement of aid funds
- Partner with the Bursar's Office to ensure accurate, timely delivery of financial aid
- Manage work-study programs and student placements
- Maintain compliance with federal and state financial aid regulations
- Resolve student aid issues and guide appeals processes

- Experience in financial aid administration, student services, or related field
