Math Teacher – Elementary

As an Elementary Math Teacher at The Depaul School For Dyslexia, you will deliver structured, engaging math instruction to students in Kindergarten through 8th grade who learn differently. What You'll Do

• Plan and deliver daily math lessons using multisensory, evidence-based instructional strategies tailored to students with dyslexia and language-based learning challenges
• Differentiate instruction across learning levels to meet each student where they are and move them forward
• Use ongoing formative and summative assessment to monitor progress and adjust teaching approaches accordingly
• Collaborate closely with fellow teachers, learning specialists, and school leadership to ensure a cohesive, student-centered learning experience
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate regularly with families about progress and goals
• Contribute to a school culture grounded in respect for every child's dignity, potential, and individual learning profile
• Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school events as a full member of the school community

What We're Looking For

• A bachelor's degree in elementary education, mathematics education, or a closely related field
• Valid Florida teaching certification in elementary education or a relevant subject area (or eligibility to obtain one)
• Experience working with students who have dyslexia, learning disabilities, or other language-based learning differences is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with multisensory or structured literacy-aligned math instructional approaches
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build trusting, supportive relationships with students
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with colleagues and families
