About the Role

As an Asset Protection Detective at Macy's, you'll investigate suspected theft, fraud, and policy violations within our Champaign location. Your work combines proactive loss prevention with reactive incident investigation to protect company assets and maintain a secure shopping environment for customers and team members alike.

What You'll Do

• Conduct thorough investigations into reported theft, fraud, and security incidents
• Monitor security systems and respond promptly to alerts across the marketplace
• Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed investigative reports
• Collaborate with store management and coordinate with law enforcement as needed
• Perform surveillance and loss prevention activities to identify and deter criminal activity
• Assess security vulnerabilities and recommend process improvements
• Work with asset protection teams to implement effective loss prevention strategies
• Maintain confidentiality and follow proper legal protocols throughout all investigations
