Knowledge Management Specialist

Lynker is hiring a Knowledge Management Specialist to strengthen how we capture, organize, and share scientific expertise across our organization. Based in Forest Glen, Montgomery County, this full-time role plays a key part in supporting our mission to advance solutions in oceans, weather, and climate science.

About the Role

As a Knowledge Management Specialist at Lynker, you will design and maintain the systems that keep our scientific knowledge and institutional expertise accessible to the teams who need it most. You'll work at the intersection of information architecture, organizational learning, and operational excellence—ensuring that insights, documentation, and best practices flow seamlessly across the company.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain knowledge repositories, documentation systems, and digital knowledge bases that serve the organization's scientific and technical teams
• Develop and refine processes for capturing, organizing, and cataloging institutional knowledge and research materials
• Implement and manage knowledge management tools and platforms, ensuring they are intuitive and widely adopted
• Work cross-functionally with scientists, engineers, and project teams to identify knowledge gaps and opportunities for better information sharing
• Train users on knowledge management systems, tools, and best practices to encourage adoption and engagement
• Maintain the accuracy, relevance, and accessibility of documented information and technical content
• Support continuous improvement of how knowledge flows through the organization to enhance collaboration and innovation

What We're Looking For

• Experience designing or managing knowledge management systems, content repositories, or information management initiatives
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail and information architecture
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with knowledge management tools, content management systems, or database platforms
• Demonstrated ability to lead training, adoption, and change management efforts
• Enthusiasm for helping organizations learn, share, and build on their collective knowledge
