About the Role
As a 4K Coach, you'll work with approved First Steps 4K providers to elevate instructional quality and create stronger learning environments for pre-kindergarten students. Using relationship-based coaching approaches, you'll partner with teachers and program leaders to implement evidence-based practices that support child development and classroom excellence.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct mentoring and coaching to First Steps 4K providers to strengthen teaching practices and program quality
- Conduct regular classroom observations and assessments to identify opportunities for improvement
- Offer technical assistance and professional development support tailored to provider needs
- Monitor progress toward quality improvement goals using relationship-based coaching principles
- Serve as a resource and thought partner for providers seeking to build accountability and positive outcomes
- Document coaching activities, progress, and outcomes to inform continuous improvement efforts
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, education, child development, or related field
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based early childhood teaching and learning practices
- Experience in early childhood education settings or adult coaching and professional development
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple coaching relationships simultaneously
