Vice President of Manufacturing Operations

Charter Next Generation is seeking a Vice President of Manufacturing Operations to lead our production and operational excellence initiatives in Lexington, Richland County. This full-time leadership role offers an exceptional opportunity to shape manufacturing strategy and drive organizational growth as a direct stakeholder in the company.

About the Role

As Vice President of Manufacturing Operations, you'll hold executive responsibility for all aspects of manufacturing production, efficiency, and quality. This is a strategic leadership position where you'll own operational performance, set standards for the production team, and directly influence company success. Your decisions will affect daily production output, cost management, supply chain coordination, and the quality of every product that reaches our customers.

What You'll Do

• Oversee all manufacturing production operations, ensuring consistently high output, quality standards, and regulatory compliance
• Develop and implement operational strategies that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance manufacturing capacity
• Lead, mentor, and manage the manufacturing team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Monitor and optimize supply chain logistics, inventory management, and vendor relationships
• Establish performance metrics and reporting systems that provide visibility into manufacturing KPIs and operational health
• Work cross-functionally with sales, planning, and finance to align production with company demand and business objectives
• Champion process improvements and identify opportunities for automation or technology adoption

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of manufacturing operations experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or management role
• Proven track record leading teams and delivering measurable improvements in production efficiency and quality
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, operations management, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
