[2026-2027] Special Education Interventionist – Elementary School

About the Role

As a Special Education Interventionist, you'll deliver small-group instruction designed to meet individual student needs while maintaining academic rigor aligned with both KIPP NYC's school standards and New York State standards. You'll work collaboratively with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to create an exciting, high-quality learning environment where every student thrives. This role is essential to our mission of providing excellent education to all learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead small-group instruction for students in grades K–4, tailoring lessons to address identified skill gaps and learning objectives
• Teach engaging, rigorous academic content aligned with KIPP NYC standards and New York State standards
• Monitor student progress regularly and adjust instruction based on formative assessment data
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education team members to coordinate interventions and share student progress
• Communicate with families about student progress, goals, and ways to support learning at home
• Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
