About the Role

As a Cafeteria Assistant with Jefferson County School District, you'll work 5.5 hours daily from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. throughout the full school year. This is a paid position for 185 days annually, including 5 paid holidays built into the calendar. You'll be part of the food service team at Rush Strong School, contributing to the daily meal operations that feed and support our student population in Strawberry Plains, Jefferson County.

What You'll Do

• Prepare, portion, and serve meals and beverages to students with a focus on quality and food safety
• Maintain clean, organized work stations and kitchen areas following health and sanitation standards
• Assist with food storage, inventory management, and equipment operation
• Support the cafeteria team to ensure timely, efficient meal service during lunch periods
• Interact professionally and courteously with students, staff, and families
