The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School-Age Childcare Assistant to join our team at Marian E. McKeown Elementary School in Newton, NJ. This part-time position offers flexible scheduling options for the Morning Program (7:00 - 8:15 am) or Afternoon Program (3:00 - 6:00 pm), with opportunities available for both programs.
- Pay rate: $16.00 per hour
- Part-time, non-exempt employment status
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
The School-Age Childcare Assistant will be responsible for ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children before and after school hours. Key duties include:
- Assisting with the supervision, care, and safety of children
- Facilitating activities that promote socialization and learning
- Maintaining a clean and organized space
- Communicating effectively with parents and school staff
