About This Position
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Childcare Assistants to join our team at Pittsburgh Manchester Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a part-time position that requires flexibility and commitment to providing a safe, nurturing environment for children before and after school hours.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for children during before and after-school programs
- Plan and lead engaging activities that promote learning and social development
- Maintain a clean, organized environment in the program area
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect the well-being of the children
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress and needs
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for individuals who:
- Love working with children aged 5-12 years old
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Are patient, kind, and have a positive attitude towards children
- Can follow instructions and adapt to different situations
- Possess basic first aid and CPR certification (training provided)
