PT Custom Picture Framer

Michaels is seeking a Full Time Custom Picture Framer at our Missoula location on 2850 North Reserve Street. Help customers transform their artwork and treasured memories into beautiful, professionally-framed pieces.

The Opportunity

As a Custom Picture Framer at Michaels in Missoula, you'll combine artistic vision with technical skill to create custom framing solutions. Core Duties

• Consult with customers to understand their framing vision, design preferences, and budget constraints
• Select appropriate frames, mats, glass, and backing materials based on customer specifications
• Measure artwork accurately and cut mats and glass to precise dimensions
• Assemble frames, mount artwork, and complete finishing details using proper framing techniques
• Operate mat cutters, frame-fitting tools, and other framing equipment safely and efficiently
• Manage framing supplies inventory and maintain organized, clean work areas
• Provide expert advice on design choices, material options, and artwork preservation
• Complete custom framing projects on schedule while delivering exceptional customer satisfaction

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience in custom picture framing or related artistic craft
• Proficiency with framing tools and equipment
• Strong design sense with a keen eye for color, composition, and detail
• Ability to work with precision and maintain consistently high quality standards
• Excellent customer service skills and friendly, patient communication style
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering quality work
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials up to 50 pounds
