Position Summary

We're looking for a detail-oriented Wine and Spirits Clerk to become a trusted member of our liquor department team. You'll combine your passion for customer service with inventory management and product expertise to create an engaging shopping experience. This full-time position at our New Hope store offers the opportunity to work directly with customers and maintain our wine and spirits section to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock, organize, and maintain inventory of wines, spirits, and beverages to ensure full shelves and easy customer access
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations and answer customer questions about products, origins, and pairings
• Verify customer identification and ensure full compliance with all state and federal alcohol sales regulations
• Process transactions accurately at the point of sale and handle cash and card payments responsibly
• Monitor stock levels, report inventory needs, and assist with receiving and shelving deliveries
• Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive department display that reflects Hyvee's quality standards

What You Bring

• Must be at least 21 years old and legally able to work with alcohol products
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse customers
• Basic math and cash handling experience
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift regularly
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe, organized workspace
• Previous retail or grocery experience is a plus
