Receiving Clerk

Join Shhotelsandresorts as a Receiving Clerk at 1 Hotel Austin, where you'll play a key role in managing incoming deliveries and maintaining accurate inventory for our luxury hotel. This is a full-time position offering hands-on work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

The Opportunity

As a Receiving Clerk, you'll be the first point of contact for all incoming goods and supplies at 1 Hotel Austin. This role is essential to our operations, ensuring that everything our hotel needs—from linens and food to equipment and furnishings—arrives safely, on time, and in perfect condition. You'll work independently and collaboratively with our warehouse, purchasing, and operations teams to keep our inventory organized and our hotel running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and document all incoming deliveries and shipments
• Verify goods against purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips for accuracy and damage
• Organize and store received items in designated warehouse and storage areas
• Maintain accurate records of inventory using our warehouse management system
• Sort, file, and process receiving documentation and bills of lading
• Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or missing items to supervisors immediately
• Follow all safety and sanitation protocols when handling hotel supplies
• Load and unload delivery trucks safely and efficiently

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly
• Basic computer skills and comfort using warehouse management systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with documentation
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Clear communication skills and ability to work within a team
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and company policies
