Field Service Engineer (Denver, CO)

Abbott is hiring a Field Service Engineer to join our Denver, Colorado team, where you'll deliver critical technical support to customers throughout the region. In this full-time position, you'll combine hands-on expertise with direct customer interaction to keep Abbott systems operating smoothly and reliably.

Role Overview

As a Field Service Engineer at Abbott, you're the technical professional our customers turn to when they need installation, maintenance, or repair of our equipment. Working across the Denver area, you'll troubleshoot complex technical issues on-site, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with our teams to ensure every customer receives expert, timely support. Your work directly impacts customer satisfaction and system uptime, making you an essential part of our service delivery model.

Core Duties

• Install, configure, and test Abbott equipment at customer locations
• Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions using technical knowledge and diagnostic tools
• Perform scheduled maintenance and preventive service on field systems
• Respond promptly to service requests and emergency calls throughout the Denver region
• Document all work activities, service history, and customer interactions in company systems
• Advise customers on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting
• Maintain a service vehicle and field equipment in safe, operational condition
• Coordinate with engineering teams to escalate complex technical issues

What You Bring

• Technical training, certification, or hands-on field service experience
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, test instruments, and repair tools
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Physical ability to lift equipment, work in confined spaces, and operate at heights when needed
• Excellent customer service skills and professional communication
• Experience servicing medical device, industrial, or pharmaceutical equipment is preferred
