Role Overview

As a Cleaner/Housekeeper with Dexterra in Ottawa, you'll take pride in delivering exceptional cleaning services that keep client properties safe, hygienic, and well-maintained. Your daily work ensures that homes, offices, and facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation, directly contributing to the comfort and satisfaction of the people who use these spaces.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and sanitising surfaces throughout assigned areas
• Maintain kitchens and bathrooms to hygiene standards, including disinfection and fixture care
• Empty and replace waste bins, handle refuse disposal in line with client and environmental guidelines
• Polish floors, windows, mirrors, and other fixtures to maintain a professional appearance
• Organise and tidy common areas, bedrooms, and living spaces according to client preferences
• Report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards to your supervisor promptly
• Follow health and safety protocols, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment
• Work efficiently to complete assigned tasks within scheduled timeframes

What You Bring

• Experience in cleaning or housekeeping roles, or proven ability to maintain clean, organised spaces
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Reliability and punctuality; you take your commitments seriously
• Physical capability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and lift moderate weights
• Willingness to follow cleaning procedures and client-specific instructions
• Basic communication skills and a respectful, professional demeanour
• Familiarity with standard cleaning tools, equipment, and products is a plus
