Senior Salesforce Engineer

Affirm is hiring a Senior Salesforce Engineer for a full-time remote role in the United States. You'll be a key technical leader within our Business Systems team, architecting solutions that power our Revenue organization's growth and enabling merchant success at scale.

Position Summary

You'll shape how our Revenue teams operate by designing and implementing enterprise Salesforce solutions. Partnering with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Engineering leaders, you'll drive both technical depth and strategic impact. This role combines hands-on platform development with mentorship opportunities, giving you influence over technology decisions, emerging capabilities, and team growth.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Review and establish technical architectures for custom applications, integrations, and data migrations, ensuring security, performance, and long-term maintainability
• Evaluate new Salesforce capabilities—Flow, Agentforce, Einstein AI—and recommend adoption strategies that deliver measurable business value
• Design, build, and govern integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems via Workato or comparable platforms, owning complex initiatives end-to-end
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Sales, Legal, and Operations to translate requirements into solutions and communicate progress clearly
• Mentor Salesforce engineers on your team through architecture guidance, design reviews, and knowledge sharing to strengthen team capabilities
• Set strategic direction for Salesforce, Ironclad, and Revenue systems optimization to ensure solutions scale with business growth and enhance merchant and operations experiences
• Lead architecture and governance of CPQ and contract lifecycle solutions, aligning sales operations, compliance, and reporting requirements

Who We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years in complex, enterprise Salesforce environments
• 4+ years developing with Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce Flow
• 2+ years designing and maintaining integrations via Workato or comparable iPaaS platforms, including recipe design and error handling
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce DevOps tools including Gearset or comparable CI/CD platforms and Salesforce DX
• Familiarity with Salesforce Agentforce and Einstein AI capabilities in revenue operations contexts
• Exceptional written and verbal communication with proven ability to clarify technical concepts for business stakeholders
• Track record building relationships and trust across Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Revenue teams
• Preferred: Data enrichment and workflow automation platforms such as Clay
• Preferred: Pardot configuration experience
• Preferred: 5+ years of Salesforce CPQ expertise
• Preferred: 2+ years with Ironclad or comparable CLM platforms, or relevant CLM certification
• Preferred: Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Platform Developer I/II, and/or CPQ Specialist certifications
• Preferred: Demonstrated effectiveness using AI tools to enhance productivity and problem-solving
