What This Role Involves

As a Call Center Representative, you'll serve as a direct point of contact for the public, answering inquiries about Peace Corps initiatives and related federal programs. You'll provide accurate, approved information with professionalism and care, ensuring every caller receives timely, helpful responses. This position operates as part of a distributed team supporting multiple time zones and helping connect citizens with important government resources.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls from the public throughout multiple U.S. time zones (Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific)
• Answer questions about Peace Corps programs and government initiatives with accuracy and courtesy
• Document inquiries and follow established protocols for information sharing
• Work assigned shifts between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. to support nationwide caller accessibility
• Maintain professional communication standards in every interaction
• Comply with federal government guidelines and call center procedures

Skills & Qualifications

• Must reside and work from one of these Texas locations: El Paso, Brownsville, Dallas metro area, Del Rio, Hidalgo, Laredo, Fort Worth metro area, or Corpus Christi
• Willingness to work flexible shifts between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. across multiple time zones
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance from the federal government (processing can take two or more months)
• Reliable personal transportation
• Strong attendance and punctuality
• Professional demeanor and business casual dress standards
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
