Easemytrip com seeks an experienced Corporate Legal Counsel to join our legal team in Gurgaon, Haryana. This full-time position offers the opportunity to shape legal strategy and governance for a leading online travel platform.
Role Overview
As Corporate Legal Counsel at Easemytrip com, you will be the primary legal advisor to our executive leadership and board of directors. Your work encompasses contract management, regulatory compliance, intellectual property protection, and risk mitigation across all business operations. You'll serve as a trusted advisor on complex legal matters, developing policies and procedures that safeguard the organisation whilst enabling business growth.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including vendor agreements, service contracts, and partnership deals
- Ensure compliance with applicable Indian laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to online travel and e-commerce
- Manage and protect the company's intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, copyrights, and proprietary systems
- Provide strategic legal counsel to management on business transactions, regulatory matters, and governance issues
- Conduct legal due diligence for corporate transactions and new business initiatives
- Handle dispute resolution and litigation management, working with external counsel as needed
- Maintain legal documentation and ensure proper record-keeping across all departments
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree with admission to the Bar Council of India
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in corporate legal practice or in-house counsel roles
- Strong expertise in commercial law, contract negotiation, and compliance frameworks
- Solid understanding of intellectual property law and e-commerce regulations in India
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency with legal research tools and contract management systems
- Discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgment in handling sensitive matters
