Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential logistics organization operating a state-of-the-art fulfillment center in Berlin/Brandenburg (Falkensee). As a Maintenance Engineer, you will take full ownership of material handling equipment performance during your shift, ensuring operations run smoothly to meet daily order fulfillment targets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions: Diagnose and fix electrical and mechanical issues in automated systems, coordinating closely with operational supervisors
- Supplier coordination: Partner directly with equipment manufacturers to resolve complex technical challenges
- Root cause analysis: Investigate system failures, implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Preventive maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance programs to maximize system uptime and availability
- Team development: Mentor junior maintenance staff to elevate overall team capability
What We're Looking For
- Ausbildung and/or Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical discipline (mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automation, or related field)
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in technical maintenance or engineering roles
- Practical expertise with electrical and mechanical systems, including measurement and camera/vision systems
- Working knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and ICS/SCADA tools
- Strong communication skills with proven ability to collaborate effectively in team environments
- Self-motivated problem-solver who takes initiative and works independently toward solutions
- Fluency in English and/or German
