Senior Specialist, Market Planning

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential on-demand delivery platform operating across dozens of countries and hundreds of cities. Our client is seeking a Senior Specialist, Market Planning to join their Global Market Planning team in Berlin. This is a hybrid role requiring office presence in Berlin.

In this position, you'll help refine the models and tools that drive courier supply planning on a global scale. You'll work at the intersection of data, tooling, and operations to ensure the right supply levers are deployed in the right markets, allocate resources across geographies, and diagnose problem areas to implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine the global supply planning model to deliver robust coverage across cities of all sizes, accounting for local context including holidays and special events
• Build tools that ensure correct supply levers are used effectively across markets to hit targets
• Own within-market supply lever allocation, translating high-level market planning into concrete, market-specific plans
• Investigate problem areas, identify root causes, and turn findings into corrective actions and improved planning approaches
• Partner with regional supply leads, local operations teams, and central teams (finance, procurement, product, analytics) on plans, performance, and improvements
• Test and validate new concepts in planning, acquisition, onboarding, and activation; support roll-out of global improvements across regions

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in operations, analytics, or strategic business development in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and modelling skills with a structured, pragmatic approach to solving complex problems
• Proficiency in Looker, SQL, and Excel/Google Sheets modelling (required); Python, Cursor, and Claude Code experience is a plus
• Proactive ownership mentality – always looking for opportunities to improve with determination to drive change
• Ability to work across cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships both locally and globally
• Culture champion who leads by example with collaboration, teamwork, and data-driven decision making
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• Based in Berlin with ability to work in a hybrid model from the office
