IT Project Manager as Freelancer (all genders)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential fintech organization in Berlin. We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join their team on a freelance basis. This role focuses on developing and improving business applications and systems in a regulated financial services environment.

You will bridge business and technical teams, working with stakeholders, developers, and external providers to analyze requirements, document processes, and ensure systems align with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business and system requirements from stakeholders
• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications
• Create and maintain process flows, workflows, user journeys, and system diagrams
• Analyze data flows, APIs, system integrations, and dependencies
• Collaborate with developers and vendors to implement and improve solutions
• Support system testing and User Acceptance Testing, including defect identification and resolution
• Analyze and document business processes and identify improvement opportunities
• Maintain functional and technical documentation
• Support integrations with banking, lending, credit, KYC/AML, and other financial systems
• Act as a liaison between business and technical teams

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role
• Strong requirements gathering and process analysis skills
• Experience with workflows, process mapping, and system documentation
• Good understanding of web applications, APIs, integrations, and data flows
• Experience with system testing and User Acceptance Testing
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, Miro, Lucidchart, or Draw.io is an advantage
• Experience in banking, lending, fintech, or financial services is preferred
