(Senior) Key Account Manager (m/w/d) – Logistik/Warehouse

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential security technology organization seeking a Senior Key Account Manager for their Logistics and Warehouse division, based in Ratingen. Our talent team is looking for someone who will drive business development across Germany with a focus on logistics, freight forwarding, contract logistics, and distribution center clients.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key accounts in the logistics and warehouse sectors
• Acquire new clients and identify growth opportunities within your territory
• Lead independent project work from conception through implementation
• Manage public tender processes and procurement procedures autonomously
• Coordinate closely with demanding clients to understand and address their unique requirements
• Conduct negotiations at all decision-making levels through to contract closure
• Collaborate with regional account managers and technical departments
• Prepare tailored proposals and security concepts for client sites
• Report to Key Account Management team leadership
• Monitor competitive landscape and provide input for product development
• Represent the organization at industry trade shows

What We're Looking For

Our client requires a candidate with:

• Completed professional training, university degree, or equivalent qualification
• Proven track record in key account management with demonstrable results
• Deep knowledge of logistics and warehouse customer segments
• Documented success in strategic client acquisition and relationship management
• Solid experience in project acquisition and project management
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in German
• Strong customer orientation with ability to understand and respond to client needs
• Team player with cross-functional collaboration abilities
• Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and relevant software tools
• Strong data analysis skills for evaluating market trends and customer requirements
• High willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays throughout Germany

Pay

Compensation details will be discussed during the screening process.
