Account Executive

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential B2B communications consultancy based in London. Our client works with organizations in complex, specialized sectors including maritime, energy, and sustainability. They're seeking an Account Executive to join their growing team and take ownership of day-to-day client activity while developing into a trusted communications professional.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their PR career who wants hands-on experience across account management, media relations, content creation, and social media in a specialist consultancy environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the status and calendar of every client action, managing work in progress, reporting, and coverage analysis
• Track, collate and evaluate media coverage, maintaining account documents to brand standards
• Support senior team members with tactical delivery of PR strategy and day-to-day client relationship management
• Monitor sector media to identify opportunities for client commentary and relevant editorial content
• Issue press releases and pitches to targeted media contacts, following up by phone and email
• Build and maintain media lists and develop journalist relationships through regular contact
• Draft press releases, blogs, editorial content, speaker abstracts and media briefs backed by research and interviews
• Manage client social media channels and proofread materials with attention to detail
• Monitor client and competitor social channels, supporting larger content projects with the digital team
• Attend networking events to support business development and your own professional growth

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Some PR or communications experience through agency, in-house roles, placements, internships, or a relevant degree with demonstrable industry interest
• Excellent written and spoken English with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and priorities simultaneously
• Proactive, can-do attitude with genuine curiosity about clients, their sectors and the wider market
• Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with clients and journalists

Desirable:

• Experience in or curiosity about marine, renewable energy or sustainability sectors
• Familiarity with media monitoring and coverage tools, and social media management platforms
• Experience drafting press releases, pitches or social content
