About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential industrial technology client in their search for a Staff Field Application Engineer. This remote position will focus on the Midwest region of the United States or the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area.

Our client is a global leader in connectivity solutions for harsh-environment applications, serving the industrial and commercial transportation sectors. You'll work with cutting-edge connector, terminal, relay, and cable assembly technologies deployed in applications where reliability is mission-critical.

Responsibilities

• Drive territory expansion of the product portfolio through strategic distributor partnerships
• Serve as the primary technical resource for generating incremental business through distribution channels
• Collaborate with end customers, channel partners, and distributors to recommend solutions for new and existing applications
• Identify emerging application requirements and specify necessary product modifications or enhancements
• Deliver on-site technical presentations and training sessions to distributors and end customers
• Lead all technical aspects of the sales cycle from opportunity identification through post-sale support
• Conduct field visits with distribution partners to identify optimal solutions for each application
• Provide ongoing technical training on existing products and new product introductions
• Monitor competitive activity and deliver market intelligence to product management
• Forecast business growth and coordinate with supply chain teams to enable successful product launches

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business
• 5+ years of relevant experience in technical sales, field applications, or related roles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional account teams
• Strong customer orientation with a consultative approach to problem-solving
• High energy, self-motivated, and results-driven
• Analytical mindset with structured thinking skills
• Self-sufficient with ability to work with minimal supervision
• Adaptability to shifting priorities based on business conditions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
• SAP experience preferred
• Willingness to travel regularly within assigned territory for customer visits
