Claims and Returns Coordinator

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential water solutions organization in the Dereham area. We are seeking a Claims and Returns Coordinator to join their Supply Chain team. This office-based role serves as the central coordination point for customer returns, carrier collections, and transport claims processes, working closely with Customer Service, Logistics, Warehouse, Finance, and Sales departments.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete Return Authorization process from initial request through to final closure
• Coordinate customer returns and schedule carrier collections efficiently
• Process and manage transport damage, shortage, loss, and non-delivery claims
• Gather supporting evidence and submit claims to carriers within required deadlines
• Track claim progress and work to maximize cost recoveries from carriers and customers
• Maintain accurate return records within ERP/WMS systems
• Produce KPI reports and conduct trend analysis to identify patterns and opportunities
• Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and implement corrective actions
• Support customer credit and recharge processes in coordination with Finance
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce returns and improve customer experience

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in logistics, returns, claims processing, or customer service administration
• Essential: hands-on experience processing claims with major logistics providers such as DPD, DHL, and similar carriers
• Strong proficiency in Excel and ERP/WMS systems
• Excellent communication skills with ability to liaise across multiple departments and external partners
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Customer-focused mindset with commitment to delivering excellent service
• Commercial awareness and understanding of cost recovery processes
• Proactive approach to workload management and ability to work independently
