Senior Project Manager – Digital Communications (all genders)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential digital services organization based in Bremen, Germany. We are seeking a Senior Project Manager specializing in Digital Communications to lead sophisticated CMS-based projects and client relationships. This role offers the opportunity to shape digital communication solutions that serve meaningful public-facing audiences.

You'll work at the intersection of technology, digital communication strategy, creative development, and content—steering projects from concept through delivery and beyond. This position is ideal for an experienced project professional who sees project management not just as administration, but as active partnership and solution development.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex digital implementation projects, maintaining control of scope, budget, quality, and timelines
• Manage CMS-based website projects, information platforms, and their ongoing evolution and operations
• Coordinate interdisciplinary teams spanning technology, digital communications consulting, UX, design, and content
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand requirements and translate them into concrete project goals and solutions
• Identify new opportunities and development potential within existing client relationships
• Contribute your project expertise to proposals, RFPs, and pitch processes
• Navigate diverse stakeholder groups with confidence, ensuring clarity and accountability even in complex project situations
• Apply appropriate project methodologies—agile or traditional—based on specific project contexts

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience managing digital implementation projects, ideally involving websites, information platforms, or CMS-based solutions
• A proactive approach to project management—you want to actively shape projects, solutions, and client relationships, not simply administer them
• Genuine interest in understanding clients and their challenges, recognizing potential, and developing appropriate solutions with cross-functional teams
• Comfort working with both technical teams and creative disciplines including communications, UX, design, and content
• Familiarity with various project management methodologies and the judgment to apply them appropriately (certification is a plus but not required)
• Experience from public sector or public-adjacent projects is ideal
• Completed university degree or comparable practical qualification
• Strong stakeholder communication skills with excellent German language proficiency in speaking and writing
• Experience in presales, business development, RFP responses, or proposal development is beneficial but not mandatory
