About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential digital solutions organization seeking a Senior Project Manager for Digital Communications to join their team in Stuttgart. Our client works on digitally-enabled projects with significant public impact, and they need an experienced project leader who can drive CMS-based communication initiatives from conception through delivery and ongoing operations.
This role sits at the intersection of technology, digital communications consulting, creative development, and content strategy. You'll work with interdisciplinary teams across multiple locations or remotely throughout Germany, managing complex digital projects while building lasting client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Steer demanding digital implementation projects, maintaining control over scope, budget, quality, and timelines
- Lead CMS-based digital communication projects, particularly websites and information platforms, including their ongoing development and operations
- Collaborate closely with clients and cross-functional project teams (technology, digital communications, UX, design, creative, content) to understand requirements and translate them into concrete project goals
- Identify new opportunities and development potential with existing clients, evolving projects and relationships in partnership with subject matter experts
- Contribute project expertise and perspective to proposals, tenders, and pitches
- Navigate multiple stakeholders confidently, ensuring clarity, accountability, and effective collaboration even in complex project situations
- Apply both agile and traditional project methodologies appropriately based on project context
What We're Looking For
- Several years of experience managing digital implementation projects, ideally involving websites, information platforms, or other CMS-based solutions
- A proactive approach to project management—you want to actively shape projects, solutions, and client relationships rather than simply administering them
- Genuine interest in understanding clients and their challenges, recognizing potential, and developing appropriate solutions with interdisciplinary teams
- Comfort working with both technical teams and disciplines such as communications, UX, design, creative, or content
- Familiarity with various project methodologies (agile and classical) and the judgment to apply them situationally; certification is a plus but not required
- Experience from public sector or public-adjacent industry projects is ideal
- Completed university degree or comparable practical qualification
- Confident communication skills with various stakeholders and excellent German language proficiency (written and spoken)
- Experience in presales, business development, tenders, or proposal development is beneficial but not essential
