Senior Project Manager (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital solutions organization based in Hamburg that delivers technology projects with significant societal impact. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale IT initiatives within interdisciplinary teams. This role offers the opportunity to drive digital transformation across diverse technology stacks while working flexibly from Hamburg or remotely within Germany.

Responsibilities

• Lead large IT projects using agile, classical, or hybrid methodologies from inception through delivery
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to translate client requirements into IT solutions and processes, serving as Product Owner in agile setups
• Manage projects across diverse technology environments including CMS, form management systems, low-code platforms, custom application development, workplace solutions, and cloud infrastructure
• Provide strategic consulting on digital transformation throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate large interdisciplinary project teams and manage stakeholder interfaces across organizational levels
• Design and facilitate client workshops, developing strategies for efficient implementation of digital solutions
• Identify optimization opportunities in internal and external collaboration, develop targeted recommendations, and proactively shape change processes
• Contribute to methodology development and provide guidance to project management colleagues, as functional leadership is expected at senior level

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in IT project management with demonstrated project leadership capabilities
• Strong command of agile or classical project methodologies; certification preferred (PMI/PMP, Prince2, IPMA, Scrum PSPO/PSM, LeSS, or SAFe Agilist)
• Passion for delivering outstanding IT projects including websites, intranets, mobile apps, digital application systems, or specialized business applications
• Enthusiasm for complex technical challenges and client engagement, with intuition for client needs and ability to identify business development opportunities
• Excellent communication skills enabling confident interaction across all organizational levels, with ability to convey complex topics clearly and appropriately for different audiences
• Completed university degree
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
