Forward Deployment Strategist

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI consulting firm based in Paris La Défense. Our client specializes in deploying enterprise AI solutions across major organizations, public sector clients, and mid-market companies. They are seeking multiple Forward Deployment Strategists to join their growing team.

In this role, you will be embedded directly with end clients, serving as the strategic bridge between decision-makers, business units, and technical delivery teams. You will drive AI transformation from initial use case identification through full-scale adoption, ensuring measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Scoping

• Build and maintain AI transformation roadmaps for specific business units
• Qualify and prioritize use case portfolios based on business value, technical feasibility, and risk
• Design target processes integrating AI and define human-AI interaction models
• Develop business cases and Go/No-Go criteria with executive stakeholders
• Identify security, governance, and data quality prerequisites during scoping
• Guide make-versus-buy decisions for AI solutions

Transformation Orchestration

• Partner with delivery managers on progress tracking, risk management, and priority decisions
• Lead end-to-end project management on smaller engagements when dedicated delivery resources are not required
• Align executive leadership, business teams, IT, and data functions around shared objectives
• Sequence deployments to create momentum across use cases
• Plan rollouts, anticipate dependencies, and remove blockers
• Manage pilot-to-production transitions with technical delivery teams
• Prepare and facilitate steering committee meetings

Adoption & Change Management

• Design adoption strategies including training, communications, and ambassador networks
• Build capability development plans
• Establish and activate internal AI champion networks within client organizations
• Identify resistance points and implement appropriate responses

Impact & Measurement

• Define and track adoption and impact KPIs (usage rates, time savings, quality improvements, operational savings)
• Measure results and present findings to executive committees
• Implement user feedback mechanisms and continuous improvement processes
• Adjust deployment trajectory based on field signals

Practice Development

• Mentor and develop junior consultants on client engagements
• Contribute to business development, proposals, and client presentations
• Capture lessons learned and enhance internal methodologies and playbooks

What We're Looking For

Education: Master's degree from engineering school, business school, or university. Specialization or additional training in Data/AI and/or change management highly valued.

Experience:

• 3-7 years professional experience, including at least 2 years on AI, data, or digital transformation projects
• Track record of accompanying at least 2 end-to-end AI deployments from scoping through adoption
• Experience preparing and leading project management and steering committee sessions with decision-makers
• Experience in enterprise or consulting environments strongly preferred
• Business-level English is a plus

Technical & Tools Competencies:

• Sufficient AI fundamentals (LLMs, RAG, agents) to assess feasibility and collaborate with data scientists
• Strong business case development and quantitative prioritization skills
• Dashboard creation and presentation skills (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
• Solid understanding of data governance, security, and AI ethics considerations
• General familiarity with cloud architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Project management fundamentals (planning, milestones, risk management, Agile methods) sufficient to partner with delivery managers or independently lead smaller projects
