SAP SD Consultant/Developer – AI Integration (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

Our client, a confidential AI automation platform provider, is seeking an SAP SD Consultant/Developer to join their Solution Engineering team. In this role, you will be the technical bridge between enterprise SAP environments and cutting-edge AI automation capabilities.

You will own the SAP integration layer for S/4HANA and ECC customers, working directly with clients from initial technical workshops through go-live and ongoing support. Your work will enable automated sales and procurement processes by connecting SAP systems to an AI platform.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing, maintaining, and customizing SAP integrations for S/4HANA and ECC environments
• Running end-to-end customer implementation projects, including requirements gathering, configuration, and deployment
• Serving as the technical counterpart for customers pre- and post-sale, ensuring compatibility with existing SAP landscapes and compliance with data protection requirements
• Collaborating with product and engineering teams to align SAP integration capabilities with the product roadmap
• Proactively identifying process improvements and new use cases that deliver measurable business value
• Analyzing customer environments and recommending optimal integration approaches

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• At least 3 years of professional experience as an SAP developer or consultant
• Strong proficiency in ABAP and ABAP Objects, with demonstrated experience building reports and complete packages
• Confident working with API technologies including OData and REST
• Deep familiarity with the SAP development environment (SE80)
• Excellent communication and solid project management skills
• Strong interest in or experience with AI applications for business process automation
• Fluent German and English (native or C1 level minimum)
• Ability to work independently, make decisions, and drive continuous self-development

Nice to have:

• Experience with Python
• OData service development background
• SAP BTP familiarity
