Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential manufacturing organization seeking a Lead Supply Chain Manager for their production facility in Richen, Baden-Württemberg. In this strategic leadership role, you will take full ownership of supply chain operations at the production site, ensuring a stable and efficient material flow from procurement through production to final delivery.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading strategic and operational supply chain management at the production site
- Managing functional and disciplinary leadership of a team of 15 to 20 employees (5 direct reports) across supply chain, warehouse, and operational logistics functions, with growth potential
- Ensuring reliable material availability, efficient production operations, and on-time project delivery
- Driving continuous improvement of planning, scheduling, and logistics processes to increase transparency, efficiency, and delivery performance
- Collaborating closely with procurement, production, and other stakeholders to optimize the value chain
- Analyzing market, sourcing, and supplier developments and implementing appropriate measures
- Identifying and executing optimization opportunities related to costs, inventory, and processes
- Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements within the supply chain
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners
- Developing KPIs and management mechanisms to drive sustainable performance improvements
What We're Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
- Several years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or production planning within an industrial environment
- Proven experience in leading and developing teams
- Strong organizational skills and extensive project management experience
- Analytical, strategic, and business-oriented mindset
- Strong technical understanding of production and material flow processes
- Confident presence with excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Fluent German and English language skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in manufacturing or other production-driven environments
- Knowledge of modular construction methods, timber construction, or the construction industry
- Experience in transforming and scaling supply chain processes
- Knowledge of ERP systems and supply chain planning tools
