Leiter*in Logistik / Lead Supply Chain Management (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

Our talent team is representing a confidential advanced manufacturing organization in Baden-Württemberg that is transforming how sustainable residential buildings are created through prefabricated timber-hybrid modules and digital production processes.

As Lead Supply Chain Management / Head of Logistics, you will take on a strategic leadership role at the production facility in Richen (near Eppingen). Your core mission is to ensure a stable, resilient supply chain that supports modular construction at scale—guaranteeing timely material availability, efficient production flows, and reliable project delivery.

You will lead a team of approximately 15 to 20 employees (5 direct reports) across administrative support, scheduling, work preparation, and warehouse management, creating seamless collaboration between production, procurement, logistics, and external partners.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Strategic and operational accountability for the entire supply chain at the production site
• Ensuring stable, efficient material flow from procurement through production to final delivery
• Functional and disciplinary leadership of a 15–20 person team in supply chain, warehousing, and operational logistics
• Developing planning, scheduling, and logistics processes to improve transparency, efficiency, and delivery performance
• Close collaboration with procurement, production, and cross-functional stakeholders to optimize the value chain
• Analyzing market, sourcing, and supplier trends and implementing appropriate measures
• Identifying and executing improvement opportunities in cost, inventory, and process efficiency
• Ensuring quality, safety, and compliance standards throughout the supply chain
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners
• Developing KPIs and control mechanisms for sustained performance improvement

What We're Looking For

Essential qualifications:

• Several years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or production planning within an industrial environment
• Several years of experience leading and developing teams
• Strong organizational skills and comprehensive project management experience
• Analytical, strategic, and entrepreneurial thinking
• High technical understanding of production and material flow processes
• Confident presence with strong communication and negotiation skills
• Fluent German and English

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in manufacturing or production environments
• Knowledge of modular construction, timber building, or construction industry
• Experience transforming and scaling supply chain processes
• Familiarity with ERP and supply chain planning systems
