Product Manager – Production Platform (all genders)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential construction-technology organization seeking a Product Manager to drive digital solutions for their manufacturing operations. In this role, you will connect production systems, equipment, and operational data into a cohesive platform that supports their offsite building processes.

You will partner with software engineers and automation specialists to define products that enable production control, validation, simulation, and operational transparency across design and series production phases. Your work will translate factory needs into scalable product solutions that integrate, monitor, and continuously optimize manufacturing capabilities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Drive end-to-end product development from discovery through delivery, focusing on process creation, manufacturing system integration, operational data availability, and simulation of production capabilities
• Translate business needs into clear product roadmaps and actionable requirements
• Ensure alignment of product goals with business objectives, operational efficiency, and customer needs
• Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and stakeholders to build and launch high-impact solutions
• Use data and user feedback to inform decisions, validate solutions, and continuously improve products
• Drive transparency and alignment through clear documentation and stakeholder communication
• Focus on documenting processes or supporting their documentation
• Identify opportunities to optimize product performance
• Develop deep understanding of production processes, machine capabilities, operational workflows, and constraints
• Collaborate with production teams to align product decisions with factory realities
• Support efforts in product standardization, complexity reduction, and cost optimization

Note: Regular on-site work at the production facility is expected. You will work closely with developers, automation engineers, industrial engineers, and production stakeholders on the factory floor to understand the manufacturing environment, discover opportunities, and support successful product adoption.

What We're Looking For

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally in B2B, industrial technology, manufacturing, automation, or platform environments
• Experience working with software products and technical systems in manufacturing, automation, industrial data, simulation, machine integration, or related technology domains
• Proven success driving digital product initiatives and delivering outcomes in cross-functional environments involving engineering, software development, and operational stakeholders
• Experience translating operational challenges and business needs into product roadmaps, requirements, and scalable solutions

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Informatics, Software Engineering, Automation Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline
• Equivalent professional experience combined with a strong track record in Product Management will also be considered

Skills:

• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with ability to align diverse stakeholders
• Ability to understand technical systems and translate complexity into clear product decisions and priorities
• Familiarity with agile product development methodologies
• Skills in product brief writing, process mapping, and roadmap management
• Experience working with AI tools to improve productivity in daily work
• Ability to operate effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments with evolving priorities
• Fluent German and English preferred for this Berlin-based role
