Technischer Senior Projektmanager (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization seeking a Technical Senior Project Manager to lead complex client implementations from planning through go-live. In this role, you will:

• Own technical steering of customer projects, developing initial proposals for target architecture and interface design
• Work closely with clients—both remotely and on-site—managing the full journey from requirements gathering to production deployment
• Foster collaboration with operational and technical client representatives to drive product acceptance and system integration
• Serve as the internal voice of the customer, liaising with sales, product management, development, and support teams
• Translate clinical workflows and functional requirements into technical interface and integration concepts (including HL7 v2, HL7 FHIR, openEHR, DICOM)
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and Technical Consultants, supporting delivery with robust technical concepts, proof-of-concepts, and reference solutions
• Take on adjacent roles as needed—technical consulting, requirements management, or presales support—depending on project phase
• Define project scope, objectives, requirements, and deliverables in partnership with stakeholders
• Manage project budgets, timelines, resources, controlling, and reporting
• Oversee data integration initiatives, ensuring seamless connectivity between participating systems
• Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure successful project outcomes
• Coordinate communication between technical and non-technical participants, keeping all stakeholders informed of progress

What We're Looking For

• Minimum five years of professional experience in healthcare, ideally in hospital environments, with significant time in a technical project management, solution delivery, or comparable technically oriented function
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Medical Informatics, eHealth, or a related field
• Multi-year experience managing healthcare technology projects and steering complex interface and data integration initiatives in clinical settings
• Hands-on experience with clinical processes, IT architectures, and systems such as HIS, RIS, PACS, and ERP
• Working knowledge of standards including HL7 v2, HL7 FHIR, DICOM, and ideally openEHR
• Previous experience as a Solution Consultant or in technical presales is highly valued; ability to read requirements technically and communicate effectively with architects and developers
• Flexibility to work in shifting roles and project contexts, adapting quickly to new clients, topics, and technologies
• Willingness to travel for client engagements on a project basis, primarily within German-speaking regions
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with other departments
• Precise, friendly, and service-oriented communication style with strong customer focus
• Independent, solution-oriented, and business-minded work approach with excellent self-organization skills
• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and build sustainable client relationships
• Fluency in German and English
