About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential real estate development organization based in Berlin. Our client is seeking a Senior Project Developer to lead complex commercial and residential projects from feasibility through approval stages. This role offers significant autonomy and the chance to shape urban environments in one of Europe's most dynamic cities.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete project development cycle, coordinating external service providers including architects and specialist planners through approval planning stages
- Conduct site assessments and prepare feasibility studies, area planning documentation, and cost estimates for commercial and residential developments
- Lead negotiations with municipal authorities, agencies, urban planners, and community stakeholders
- Support urban planning workshop procedures and architectural competition processes
- Oversee zoning plan (B-plan) procedures and manage urban development contract negotiations
- Supervise neighborhood agreements and ensure compliance with local requirements
- Manage internal and external project reporting and documentation
What We're Looking For
- Degree in architecture, civil engineering, real estate management, urban planning, or comparable qualification in property or housing management
- Several years of professional experience developing commercial and residential construction projects and building land
- Proven experience leading project teams through complex development cycles
- Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Assertiveness and diplomatic skills for managing competing interests
- Knowledge of German real estate law is advantageous
- Fluency in German required for regulatory interactions; English proficiency valued
