Chemical Laboratory Assistant / Lab Technician (f/m/d) Analytics & Synthesis

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential deep-tech organization in Leipzig that is pioneering advanced materials development. Our talent team is seeking a hands-on Chemical Laboratory Assistant or Lab Technician to join their analytical and synthesis operations. This is a technical role where precision, reliability, and practical bench experience are paramount.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine instrumental and wet-chemical analyses to characterize next-generation materials, including NMR, IR spectroscopy, DSC, and titrations
• Support synthesis operations on bench and pilot scale, executing reactions according to established standard operating procedures
• Ensure smooth daily lab operations including glassware preparation and maintenance, sample preparation, material drying, and general laboratory organization
• Conduct regular calibration of analytical instruments and maintain detailed laboratory journals
• Assist in drafting clear standard operating procedures to support laboratory excellence
• Maintain a safe, high-standard working environment following good laboratory practices
• Ensure all analytical equipment is properly maintained and ready for use

What We're Looking For

• Successfully completed vocational training as a Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), Chemielaborant, or similar technical qualification—practical bench experience is the top priority
• Strong practical experience in instrumental and wet-chemical analytics, particularly NMR, IR, DSC, and titration methods
• Experience carrying out organic syntheses safely according to established protocols
• Confidence operating analytical instruments, preparing samples, and performing routine instrument calibrations
• Detail-oriented and reliable approach to laboratory work with strong documentation habits
• Working knowledge of English sufficient for technical documentation and team communication
• Comfortable in a dynamic, collaborative startup environment
• Experience in polymer testing (MFR/MFI, tensile testing) or prior work in a plastics laboratory is a strong advantage but not mandatory
