Tax & Finance Operations Interns (f/m/d) – AI Tax Startup

Our talent team is representing a confidential AI-powered tax and accounting firm headquartered in Berlin. This organization is reimagining traditional advisory services through intelligent automation while maintaining a highly personalized client experience. They serve specialized professional segments and are scaling rapidly with ambitious expansion plans across multiple industries.

We're seeking motivated Tax & Finance Operations Interns to join their founding team. This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of finance, tax operations, and AI implementation in a well-funded early-stage environment. You'll report directly to senior leadership and take on substantive responsibilities from day one.

Responsibilities

You'll contribute across three core operational areas:

• Finance & Controlling: Own invoicing processes, support cashflow management, assist with monthly bookkeeping and financial close, and build reporting analyses over time
• Tax Operations: Prepare ongoing financial accounting including receipt capture and booking; support annual financial statement preparation; assist with tax return drafts and pre-filings; manage digital correspondence and deadline tracking; handle structured client communication and master data maintenance
• Process Automation: Test and document internal workflows; contribute to automating recurring tasks such as document classification and data extraction; prepare data for analysis and support integration projects

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in business administration, economics, law, tax, or a related field with focus or strong interest in tax, accounting, or finance
• Previous hands-on experience through internships or working student positions, ideally in tax, accounting, finance, or consulting
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy—essential for tax and finance work
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize independently and execute without constant direction
• Comfortable with AI tools and capable of implementing basic automations; quick to learn new systems
• Collaborative team player who shares knowledge naturally
• German language proficiency required (client-facing role)
• Motivated to work in a fast-paced startup environment with high ambition

Work arrangement: Five days per week in-office (Berlin office near Boxhagener Platz). Flexible hours accommodating your study schedule.
