About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential IT services organization in Switzerland seeking a Senior Network & Security Engineer. Our talent team is looking for an experienced professional with strong expertise in Cisco and Fortinet environments to join a client known for their excellent workplace culture and technical innovation.
This is a permanent position based in Zürich, offering the opportunity to work on complex network infrastructures for enterprise clients while enjoying a remote-first working model with flexible annual working time arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage enterprise network infrastructures for multiple client organizations
- Maintain and continuously develop complex network environments
- Plan, architect, and operate modern firewall, LAN, and WLAN infrastructures
- Analyze network issues, resolve incidents independently, and manage changes in network environments
- Develop automation solutions to increase operational efficiency
- Provide technical expertise to internal sales teams during pre-sales processes
What We're Looking For
- Advanced education in IT or equivalent extensive professional experience
- Current certifications in Cisco and/or Fortinet (such as CCNP, NSE8, or similar); additional vendor knowledge is a plus
- Deep expertise in perimeter security, routing & switching, VPN, TCP/IP, and WLAN technologies
- Experience working for an IT service provider is advantageous
- Some development or scripting experience preferred
- Fluent German communication skills (written and spoken) required
- Strong English language proficiency (written and spoken)
- Self-motivated, quality-focused work style with strong analytical thinking and team collaboration skills
