Senior Full Stack Developer (f/m/x)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization based in Berlin that is building critical applications for biomedical research and clinical data management. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join their focused engineering team working on software that directly impacts healthcare professionals and researchers.

This role offers genuine ownership over applications and features, working across the full development lifecycle from architecture through production deployment. You'll collaborate directly with researchers, UX/UI designers, and product teams in a remote-friendly environment with short decision paths and meaningful technical influence.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications and backend services for managing health data
• Build modern frontends using Vue.js and robust backend services using JavaScript/TypeScript
• Design maintainable APIs, data models, and application architectures
• Translate requirements into practical, user-friendly software solutions
• Take ownership of features from requirements through deployment to production
• Build, run, and deploy applications using Docker and Docker Compose
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, troubleshooting, and process improvements
• Use modern development tools, including AI-assisted development, while maintaining code quality standards
• Manage priorities independently and deliver reliable solutions

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Strong professional experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, including backend development
• Strong experience with Vue.js and modern frontend development
• Experience building responsive and mobile-first web applications
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, and data modeling
• Experience with Docker and Docker Compose
• Proven track record building, deploying, and operating production web applications
• Solid understanding of software architecture, APIs, automated testing, and maintainability trade-offs
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, logging, monitoring, and production troubleshooting
• Awareness of security, privacy, and data protection requirements for sensitive data
• Comfortable working with unfamiliar technologies and selecting appropriate tools
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools effectively with critical code review
• Fluent in English; German is a plus

Helpful but not required:

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform
• Experience building applications using LLMs, RAG, embeddings, or AI APIs
• Background in healthcare, biomedical research, clinical research, or data-intensive domains
