Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential IT services provider in Hamburg. In this role, you will deliver technical support and infrastructure management for small and medium-sized business clients. Your day-to-day work includes:
- Providing 1st- and 2nd-level support via remote access, phone, and on-site visits
- Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IT hardware
- Administering Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, Exchange, and Entra ID
- Configuring and managing networks, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure
- Supporting backup, monitoring, RMM, and endpoint security solutions in a managed services environment
- Deploying server, network, and workstation solutions for client sites
- Documenting all work clearly and thoroughly in ticketing systems
Much of the work can be performed remotely or from home; other tasks require travel to client locations. A Hamburg office workspace is available.
What We're Looking For
Our client values reliability, technical aptitude, and a willingness to learn over specific certifications. The ideal candidate brings:
- Completed IT vocational training is a plus, but career-changers and early-career professionals with strong practical IT knowledge are welcome
- Solid Windows knowledge and understanding of networking fundamentals: IP, DNS, DHCP
- Some exposure to Microsoft 365, Windows Server, or comparable infrastructure environments
- Experience with managed service providers or IT consulting is beneficial but not required
- A careful, independent working style with a knack for finding pragmatic solutions
- Friendly, patient communication with clients; calm demeanor during outages
- Valid Class B driver's license
This role is not a fit if you: need constant novelty and rapid change, want to redesign processes or lead strategic initiatives, seek quick advancement into management, or prioritize status over steady, thorough work.
