Python Backend Engineer (m/f/x)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential SaaS organization focused on digital transformation and sustainability. We're seeking Python Backend Engineers to join their growing engineering team on a permanent, remote basis within the EU.

This is an opportunity to work on complex data-driven applications that power enterprise-grade platforms. You'll collaborate directly with customers, UX designers, and front-end engineers to deliver scalable REST APIs and end-to-end data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop functional requirements in collaboration with customers and stakeholders
• Build efficient, data-powered REST APIs using Python frameworks
• Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines and AI models
• Integrate backend services with front-end applications
• Work with UX designers to translate requirements into technical implementations
• Contribute to testing, debugging, and maintaining code quality
• Support large-scale, enterprise-grade application development

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of experience as a Python backend developer, with at least 2 years in a B2B environment
• Strong proficiency with Python frameworks such as Flask or Bottle
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and REST API development
• Solid understanding of databases and SQL; experience with graph databases is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to build data pipelines with complex datasets
• Experience working on large, enterprise-grade applications
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Comfortable engaging with customers to clearly understand and clarify requirements
• Must be based in the EU (Germany or broader Europe depending on client requirements)
